Robert K Cato, MD FACP
(Southeastern Region)

After graduating from Cornell medical school in 1993 and completing internal medicine residency in 1996, Dr Cato joined the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania as a general internist in the newly formed Penn Center for Primary Care, which was created as the home of Penn's primary care internal medicine residency program. Over the past 27 years Dr Cato has continued as the Medical Director of the practice, heavily involved in resident education both in the office and in the hospital. He has had various other institutional roles including Chief of DGIM and President of the Medical Staff at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and continues as he always has to see patients as the largest part of activity.
