Jumee Barooah, MD, FACP, is a Primary Care Physician and is Board Certified in Internal medicine at The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education. She worked at WCGME which is considered a Patient Centered Medical Home Federally Qualified Health Center (FGHC). She is actively involved in research, patient care and education of interns and medical students.

Dr. Barooah's experience in outpatient settings includes training in a level 3 medical home setting, involved in designing COPD management work sheets, Ashma Action plan and administration of Zostavax in Veterans. She is also involved in extensive exposure to HIV/AIDS program that provides care to population with HIV. Her experience covers diagnosing and managing complications of HIV including PCP, crytococcus and atypical mycobacterial infections.

ICU experience includes complication of diabetics, cardiac arrhythmias, myocardial infarctions, hypertensive emergencies, life threatening electrolyte imbalance, sepsis and bowel ischemia.

Jumee graduated from Gauhati Medical College and Hospital, India in 2004 before practicing privately in 1999-2001.
