Joseph Rigotti, DO, is a Senior Physician in the Department of Medicine at Abington Memorial Hospital. He graduated from The College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1984 and then completed an Internship at Metropolitan Hospital, Central Division in Philadelphia, PA. He then completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Abington Memorial Hospital, serving as Chief Resident in 1988.
Dr. Rigotti is board certified in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Rigotti has been on staff at Abington Memorial Hospital since July of 1988. He is a member of Internal Medicine Associates of Abington where he sees patients at offices located in Jenkintown and Maple Glen, PA. All physicians of IMAA also provide inpatient care to their patients when they are admitted to Abington Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Rigotti works on the teaching service comprised of medical residents and students. In addition, he is a member of the Hospital Based Medicine Working Group, the Primary Care Innovation and Practice Improvement Committee, Jefferson Medical Group Compensation Committee, the Clinical Integration Council, and the Nutrition Support Team.
During his tenure at Abington, Dr. Rigotti has served as President of the Medical Staff as well as two terms as an at large member of the Executive Committee of the Medical Staff. He has twice been the recipient of the Golden Apple Primary Care Award for teaching, given by the medical residents.
In September 2018 Dr. Rigotti was appointed Division Chief of Internal Medicine.
