John M. Spandorfer, Professor of Medicine and Roger Daniels Associate Dean of Professionalism in Medicine at Sidney Kimmel Medical College, has been in practice at Jefferson for 29 years.

A 1989 graduate of Jefferson Medical College and resident at Temple University Hospital, John returned to Jefferson in 1992. In addition to his busy internal medicine practice, John has had roles creating and leading medical school courses and roles as Student Affairs (2005-2009) and Academic Affairs Dean (2009 to present).

He has authored many articles in the areas of anticoagulation, as well as professionalism in medicine. He is the lead editor of Professionalism in Medicine, a Case-based Guide for Medical Students, Cambridge Press.

He is also the current treasurer for the Academy for Professionalism in Healthcare.
