Dr. Eric Anish is a member of the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). He serves on the teaching faculty of the UPMC Internal Medicine Residency Program and the UPMC Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship Program. Dr. Anish is also actively involved in teaching at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine where he is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery.

Dr. Anish has received numerous teaching awards at both the medical school and residency program level. Dr. Anish has been a member of the American College of Physicians (ACP) since 1997 and became an ACP Fellow in 2006. He has served as teaching faculty for the Herbert S. Waxman Clinical Skills Center at the ACP Annual Session since 2003 and has been a member of the Abstract Review Board for the ACP National Abstract Competition since 2006. In 2017, Dr. Anish received the Clinical Practice Award from the Pennsylvania Chapter of the ACP.

Dr. Anish has volunteered countless hours providing medical care at local, national, and international sporting events and was part of the Team USA Medical Staff at the 2011 Pan-American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico and the 2012 Olympic Games in London, England.
