Dimple Patel, MD FACP graduated from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 2008 and completed residency at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA in 2011. She had joined Drexel’s Internal Medicine Residency Program as a core faculty where she pursued her passion for teaching residents and students. She received multiple teaching awards including Attending of the Year and Dean’s Special Award for Excellence in Clinical Teaching.
She then joined Abington Jefferson Health in 2019 as one of the Associate Program Directors where she continues to educate and shape the minds of young physicians and students while being a strong positive role model. As an active member of the ACP Southeastern Chapter, Dr. Patel took on the role as the Chairperson of the Abstract Poster Competition and Doctor’s Dilemma for the Southeastern ACP and organized the conference post-COVID and will continue to be involved.
When she is not busy at work, she is the mother of two beautiful children, Sayana and Zayn, who are her world and heart. She stays active with them in numerous activities and hopes that she continues to be a positive role model for them as they grow up.
