Dr. Anthony Donato has spent 23 years in medical education, and took this love to obtain his masters in Health Professions Education at the University of Chicago-Illinois in 2012.

His interests are in novel ways of teaching, direct observation, and the use of portfolios to enhance mentor -learner relationships.  Five years ago he helped set up the Tower Health Street medicine outreach program to bring healthcare to the homeless where they live and eat.

He is married to Karin, the love of his life with whom he has 4 children.  He is very sorry he could not attend today as he is walking with his 77-year-old mother who is completing her 14th half marathon today in Philadelphia; he and (his mother) thank you humbly for this wonderful recognition.
