Anjana Chandrasekhara Pillai, MBBS, MD

Dr. Anjana is a dedicated and accomplished physician, currently serving as a Hospital Medicine attending at Preferred Primary Care Physicians, where she cares for the elderly Medicare population in Pittsburgh.

Her career is marked by a steadfast commitment to the ACP community, where she has served in numerous leadership roles, including Co-chair of the ACP Western Pennsylvania regional chapter and ACP IMG Champion for Pennsylvania, advocating for international medical graduates and promoting diversity in healthcare. Dr. Anjana’s contributions have been recognized nationally; she was a finalist in the ACP Young Career Physician QI Poster competition in 2022 and has served as a judge and faculty reviewer for ACP poster competitions at both regional and national levels.

Known for her research in Rheumatology and Immunology at UPMC, she exemplifies the values of excellence, leadership, and service in internal medicine.
