PA-ACP CONGRATULATES DR. JOYCE AND NEWLY ELECTED CONGRESSMEN

PA-ACP congratulates our member from PA West, John Joyce, MD, FACP on his re-election to Congress from the 13^th District, and being named co-chair of the Doctor’s Caucus.

The Chapter also offers its congratulations to Pennsylvania’s newly elected Congressmen Rob Bresnahan, a businessman from Northeastern PA and Ryan Mackenzie, who has served as State Representative from the Lehigh Valley since 2012.

Dr. Joyce is a dermatologist from Altoona, PA, serving in his third term since his election in 2018.  The district includes all of Adams, Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, Juniata, Mifflin and Perry Counties and a small portion of Cumberland and Somerset Counties.

Joyce has been serving on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, Subcommittee on Health, and the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee. He has been helpful on issues facing physicians and has sought out PA-ACP input on policies.

We look forward to working with Dr. Joyce, Bresnahan, Mackenzie and all the members of the state’s Congressional delegation in 2025-2026 to improve access to affordable quality care, strengthen the primary care and physician workforce, increase prescription drug access and transparency and put patients before paperwork.
