Lawrence I. Kaplan, MD, MACP

Lawrence Kaplan, MD, MHPE, MACP is a general internist, husband, father, dog-dad and reformed bicycle commuter who has been an academic general internist for over 4 decades.

He been involved in ambulatory, interprofessional and community-based education in the Delaware Valley, most recently at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University where he currently serves as Professor of Medicine and the Associate Dean for Interprofessional Education.

He has served on numerous committees of the ACP, the NBME, SGIM, the LCME and his home institutions, has published over 60 articles, abstracts, chapters, abstracts and book reviews, and he has given invited lectures, workshops and presentations at numerous regional and national meetings. He has been the recipient of numerous awards including Mastership in the ACP, and Temple University’s Great Teacher Award.
