John Prior, DO

I was Philadephia educated for undergraduate and graduate school. I am a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine with residency in Internal Medicine at the UMNDNJ SOM and Nephrology Fellowship at Hahneman University. Initially, I worked at Hahneman and was part of the Internal Medicine/Nephrology faculty.

I moved to NEPA to practice clinical nephrology and became part of the faculty of STRP/WCGME Internal Medicine Residency as well as the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. Throughout my career I have been privileged to have been taught by many senior physicians and have been lucky to carry that tradition forward teaching residents and students.

I consider myself fortunate to have been able to combine patient care with teaching for 40 yrs. Teaching residents and students has always given me great satisfaction and renewal.
