While current discourse in health care focuses on what artificial intelligence will replace, this session asks a foundational question: "What still requires a human physician?" and proposes a professional imperative: "As technology advances, the work of a physician must become more human." Grounded in a clinical case with adept technological support, we will examine what focusing on Human-Expected Practice means for our relationship with patients, our response to advancing technology, and how we can guide our clinical work rather than acquiescing to practice drift. Participants will leave with a tangible lift in their sense of agency over the future of their practice.
