The Pennsylvania Chapter of the American College of Physicians remains committed to showcasing outstanding scholarly work across all areas of internal medicine and welcomes submissions on any topic relevant to patient care, education, research, quality improvement, and healthcare delivery.
This year, the Pennsylvania Chapter has selected Equity in Obesity Care as the featured theme for the 2026 Regional Poster Competitions.
Medical students and residents are invited to submit poster abstracts in the categories of:
- Clinical Vignette
- Quality Improvement/Patient Safety
- Research
Submitted work may have been presented at other conferences previously, though not previous regional or nation ACP poster competitions.
While all submissions will be evaluated according to the standard judging criteria for their category, abstracts aligned with the theme of Equity in Obesity Care will receive special consideration during the review process. Additionally, an award for best Equity in Obesity Care poster in each category will be awarded in addition to awards for overall best poster.
Only three abstracts can be submitted per the first author. You may not submit more than two abstracts in any category.
You can only submit abstracts to ONE region. If you submit to more than one region, you will be disqualified.
The abstract submission deadline is 11:59 PM on August 16, 2026, for the Western Region. Abstracts received after the deadline will not be accepted.
