Congratulations to William D. Surkis, MD, FACP
New SE Region Governor-elect Designee

The Executive Committee of the Board of Governors (ECBOG) has announced the Governor-elect Designees (GEDs) representing the Class of 2030, and we are thrilled to share that William D. Surkis, MD, FACP has been elected as the Governor-elect Designee for the Pennsylvania Southeastern Region!

Dr. Surkis brings a wealth of experience to this role. His impressive background includes serving as Vice President for Medical Education and DIO at Main Line Health System and Vice President for Medical Affairs at Lankenau Medical Center. His numerous contributions to PA-ACP and the ACP National organization, including serving as a planner for the Annual Scientific Meeting and an editorial board member for ACP Hospitalist, exemplify his dedication to advancing internal medicine.

Dr. Surkis will officially assume the role of Governor-elect after the ACP Annual Business Meeting on April 5, 2025, and will begin his term as Governor in April 2026.
