Ann Elizabeth Perrin, MD
(Western Region)
Dr. Perrin received her undergraduate degree at Boston College and MPH at Boston University. After working in clinical research, she attended medical school at St. Louis University and residency in Internal Medicine at Oregon Health and Science University. Following residency, she joined University of Pittsburgh Medical Center as an academic hospitalist in 2016 and became involved in prevention of hospital acquired VTEs.
Dr. Perrin completed the TEACH program through SGIM. As a clinician educator her interests and expertise center around transition from residency to early career attending and faculty development. She is core faculty on the Junior Hospitalist Service, Director of the Hospitalist Certificate Program, Co-Director of the Generalist track, and Director of Academic Development for Hospital Medicine at Presbyterian.
Dr. Perrin has presented nationally on multiple topics including bias language and balancing attending expertise with resident autonomy
